Responsible gambling laws (NTRC regulations) require customers to make a mandatory “pre-commitment decision” during the registration process across all channels offered.

This feature, as part of a wider initiative, will position Sportsbet.com.au as an industry leader in the area of responsible gambling.

Goal
To empower customers to set a limit on their spend from the outset without creating a barrier to registration.
Ensure regulatory requirements are met.

Research and Design
• User testing was conducted with prototype wireframes to gain feedback from customers, validate solution and inform design.
• Both wireframes and designs were used to communicate the solution to stakeholders.
• Design was applied across all channels ensuring visual language and copy was consistent and complied with regulation requirements.

Result
An average of 400 customers per month set a deposit limit to help manage their spending periodically.
